Theory and ear
for any musician.
TessiTune brings together in the browser the training that supports reading and listening: intervals, chords, score reading in treble and bass clef, and the guitar neck. Each exercise works a small set at a time, shows where you slipped, and brings back what you have already covered. It also includes the tuner and the metronome.
The study that was missing between the lesson and the instrument
Almost every musician learns pieces before learning to hear. You recognize the right chord on guitar but hesitate when it appears elsewhere; you read the score counting lines with your finger; you feel the rhythm but cannot tell if you are rushing. None of that is lack of talent — it is lack of separate training, the kind a weekly lesson has no time to cover.
That is the training TessiTune does, in short sessions in the browser. The goal is not points: it is reaching the moment you hear an interval and know its name, look at the staff and the note is already there, tap the beat without checking.
Two notes sound and you name the distance between them. Also chords.
The note appears on the staff and you say its name. Treble, bass, and ledger lines.
See where each note and each interval fall on the neck, fret by fret, on any string.
A page for every interval and every chord
An explanation, songs where that sound appears, and the staff, keyboard, and guitar neck drawn out — to consult before or after the exercise, not only during it.
